What do Bermuda, North Yorkshire and Greater Manchester Fire & Rescue have in common?

The Effective Command Behavioural Marking Tool, used to significant effect in 2 countries across three services. Such a versatile tool, it consistently generates superb data from Incident Command assessments that can then be analysed to identify trends internationally, nationally, and locally.

Back in Bermuda once more, a KLA Associates delivery team are spending 2 weeks in country delivering back-to-back 5-day courses to Bermuda Fire & Rescue Service both pertaining to the SFJ Awards, Level 3 Award – Initial Incident Command in Fire and Rescue Services.

Katherine Lamb, who spent the first week with the delivery team, was incredibly pleased to see how well Bermuda Fire Service personnel adapted to the training methods employed and the way in which assessments were carried out. This is all leading to a positive experience for the students and Bermuda Fire Services Strategic Leaders.

XVR Simulation Training was the order of the day with Northamptonshire Fire. One of KLA’s most experienced trainers spent 2 days in their service taking students through this amazing tool and explaining how to get the most from this very capable software.

KLA also continue to support a Local Delivery (LD) model of delivering the training and assessment with services. Both Greater Manchester Fire and North Yorkshire Fire employ this method where in service Incident Command Training Teams, trained and annually standardised by KLA, use the EC Behavioural Marking Tool to deliver the SFJ Awards, Level 3 Award – Initial Incident Command. Fully supported throughout by KLA, these services prefer this model for this level specific level of IC (Incident Command).
