No Tricks Just Treats……….

No Tricks just Treats for Fire Services engaged with K Lamb Associates Ltd.

In Ontario, Canada, Katherine Lamb wrapped up her latest successful working visit with an Effective Command Instructors course for The Ontario Power Generation Company (Fire). The Effective Command Behavioural Marking Tool has really taken off there further enhancing the relationship in Ontario.

The storm that battered The States of Jersey and kept their Fire Service and other responders extremely busy also put pay to a K Lamb Associates return trip home following another successful week. Not deterred, Mark Lamb did what every public service minded individual would do and volunteered to help in the Fire Service Control Room. Well done to Mark for putting a real shift in.

“A fantastic tool, well presented and managed. This will be invaluable in ensuring I can maintain my competencies and improve my knowledge. The KLA Team were brilliant, supportive, and professional in facilitating the ICL1 assessment to ensure I felt at ease, but equally supportive in their feedback for developing my command experience for the future. Thank you.” Chris Smith Jersey Fire Service.

At Strategic Level, Tyne & Wear Fire welcomed a delivery team to deliver a SFJ – EC – ICL4 Revalidation. The recently appointed Chief Fire Officer Peter Heath, and another member of his Strategic Team, were assessed managing complex incident scenarios whilst the assessor used the EC Behavioural Marking Framework.

“Thanks to the trainers and assessor for creating the command revalidation environment and conditions that enabled me to focus on the scenario. Very candidate focussed and supportive.” CFO Peter Heath – TWFRS.

Katherine Lamb ensured that 3 more services received their annual Effective Command Standardisation and Assessor Training Day. West Yorkshire Fire, North Yorkshire Fire and County Durham & Darlington all welcomed the input. The data sharing, derived from the EC Tool use, proved invaluable for the IC Teams. This data, local and national gave the teams things to consider about how their IC training and development is shaped going forward.

Is Effective Command a brand you have heard about but not really took the time to understand. Would you or your organisation benefit from learning more about the many benefits of using all the tools within EC. Contact us to arrange a demonstration, all services are welcome.
