Dave Robertson

Following 25 years operational service in the West Midlands Fire Service, Dave decided to move into the WMFS Command Development Centre where he spent 5 years providing Incident Command training to Firefighters all the way up to Principal Officers. On retirement in 2018 he returned to WMFS as an IC consultant and played a major role in converting all level 1 assessments over to purely XVR and then in turn bringing in systems to facilitate all assessments remotely during the pandemic.

Dave was also responsible for designing scenarios using Hydra, Minerva and XVR Simulation for all Incident Command Levels.  Now working within KLA he specialises in XVR virtual training and scenarios design and believes that the utilisation of technology enhances the training provided to the Fire & Rescue Services.
