Regionally Incident Command Revalidation Assessments continue to gather momentum.

Regionally Incident Command Revalidation Assessments continue to gather momentum.

K Lamb Associates delivery teams camped out in the Northern regions last week as they delivered more successful Incident Command Revalidation Assessments. North Yorkshire Fire engaged our services as they committed more Level 2 and Level 3 commanders for a revalidation of Incident Command. In West Yorkshire Fire two Area Managers experienced their revalidation at ICL4 (Tactical) and in County Durham & Darlington Fire more ICL3 commanders were exposed to challenging significant scenarios. In all cases our experienced assessors utilised the Effective Command Behavioural Marking Tool to assess if the Commanders were Safe, Effective and Assertive in their decision making.

 Feedback from delegates.

“Scenario was thought provoking and not an incident type I have experienced before. It pushed me out of my comfort zone but ultimately it was confidence building and a rewarding experience.” AM Scott Donegan WYFRS (ICL4 Tactical Revalidation)

Katherine Lamb posted on LinkedIn recently about the continuing success of The Effective Command Behavioural Marking Framework and the associated Incident Command Training in Canada. Things are certainly looking positive as interest grows in the effectiveness of this sector wide Behavioural Marking Framework.

Future bookings confirmed this week from Avon Fire who have asked KLA to deliver a SFJ Awards, Level 4 Award in Designing and Delivering Incident Command Training in Fire and Rescue Services, and Cheshire Fire have engaged us to deliver a whole day of ICL3 Revalidation Assessments if Incident Command. A big welcome to both these services, we look forward to forging professional relationships with you going forward.
