Autumn Leaves are Maple

Autumn just around the corner signals one thing, the Emergency Services Show is a heartbeat away and Katherine Lamb and the K Lamb Associates (KLA) can’t wait to build on our already established network of Fire Services. It’s a fantastic opportunity to meet face to face with our existing clients and some hopefully engage with some new customers. With such a wide variety of products to talk about Katherine is up for the challenge.

The first week of September sees KLA delivery teams once again out on the road providing training and assessment in Incident Command. North Yorkshire Fire invited us in to deliver a SFJ Awards, Level 6 (ICL3) Award – Advanced Incident Command in Fire and Rescue Services. Here is an example of the positive feedback.

“Really enjoyed scenarios. Felt we were able to have a good go at them with tools at our disposal. Professional discussions ensured that I was able to demonstrate my knowledge.” Euan Long NYFRS

Elsewhere another Command Unit Operatives course was delivered successfully to Cambridgeshire Fire. This course goes from strength to strength as you can see from the feedback received below.

“A good course opening my eyes to the command support role in a different way.” Kevin Partridge CambsFRS

Warwickshire Fire continue their commitment to ensuring all their Incident Command Level 4 (ICL4) Officers maintain their cyclical Assessments at SFJ – Effective Command Level 4 (ICL4) Tactical. KLA Strategic Assessor Tim Cutbill, supported by a KLA delivery team, used the Effective Command Behavioural Marking Tool to ensure each delegate was safe, effective and assertive across the array of markers within the tool. Feedback below reinforces the benefits of KLA’s excellent assessment product.

“The Level 4 Tactical Command development/assessment day was an excellent opportunity to operate in a pressurised environment to further develop essential Incident Command skills. The trainer's knowledge experience and support was invaluable and made the experience incredibly enjoyable. The subsequent learning will be invaluable moving forward.” AM Scott Moultrie Warwickshire FRS

Katherine Lamb herself spent the week travelling across Canada, along with one of the KLA XVR specialists, engaging with new and potential clients from various provinces. This trip included her attending and speaking at The Thunder Bay Trade Show. Katherine said the trip was super successful and helped to further embed Effective Command (Canada).

K Lamb Associates Ltd will be at the Emergency Services Show again this year. Our stand, number #K160, will see Katherine and some of the K Lamb Associates ready and waiting to speak to you all. Why not come along to meet her and learn more about the Effective Command Behavioural Framework Marking Tool and the vast range of products we offer to Fire Services.
