Learn Pro Group

Last week Katherine Lamb was the opening speaker at the annual LearnPro Group UGM Bedfordshire Fire and Rescue Service. She presented on the Effective Command data collated from assessments and operational incidents from over 30 UKFRS over the last 7 years. This data has been analysed to identify organisational and sector strengthens/weaknesses, with these trends being fed back into the relevant FRS. This data is also being shared directly with NOL and JOL to maximise opportunities for National organisational learning.

Katherine has also been asked to chair a multi-agency Virtual Reality & Curriculum Working Group with the aim of maximising training efficiencies and to facilitate learning from partners already working within this arena. The first face to face meeting was held at the usergroup and was attended by 23 different Cat 1 and Cat 2 organisations which covered Fire, Police, Ambulance, NHS, RNLI, Civil Nuclear Constabulary and College of Policing. Great conversations and networking were had with all who attended.

This week Katherine is presenting Effective Command data at the West Yorkshire Resilience Forum CPD Seminar and at the JESIP Research Symposium hosted by the Home Office to maximise the opportunities for multiagency and partnership learning.

Elsewhere the K Lamb Associates Strategic delivery team opened yet another SFJ Awards, Level 7 Award in Strategic Incident Command in Fire and Rescue Services. The 2-day workshop/ assessment, attended by Strategic Leaders from Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire, Norfolk and Surrey, was fascinating and produced some excellent group discussions.
