Decisions, decisions.....

Decisions, decisions.....

The Effective Command Behavioural Marking Framework, covering Incident Command Levels 1-4, focuses on decision making behaviours rather than focusing on specific competencies. Last week assessors from K Lamb Associates facilitated several revalidation assessments across the country using the EC tools.

SFJ Awards-EC-Incident Command Level 2, Level 3, and Level 4 revalidation assessments was successfully carried out in Cambridgeshire Fire (CRFS), and North Yorkshire Fire (NYFRS). In preparation for their upcoming revalidation assessments, CFRS delegates opted to receive our face-to-face pre-assessment IC input. Like CFRS, but this time delivered on-line at the client's request, Lincolnshire Fire’s delegates received their input in an on-line session.

Feedback received form a delegate;

“The scenario was testing and unlike anything I’ve experienced, it made me think and utilise the command support team.” ICL2 Revalidation Assessment – Cambridgeshire FRS

In NYFRS it was once again the turn of Chief Fire Officer Jonathan Dyson and Deputy Chief Fire Officer Matthew Walker to receive their ICL4 (Tactical) Revalidation Assessment. Appreciating that their roles categorically include the requirement to attend and take command of significant incidents, they subject themselves to the assessments every 2 years in line with NOG therefore maintaining their incident command competency. Well done to Jonathan and Matt who both demonstrated strong performances dealing with complex and challenging situations.
