My day job is busier than ever........

 Last week a team of K Lamb Ltd Associates descended on Greater Manchester Fire for the first of their four scheduled sessions, between now and March 2025, of SFJ Awards-Effective Command-Incident Command Level 3 & 4 Revalidation Assessments. This cohort, consisting of a Group and Area Manager also opted for the pre-assessment IC Input. How does this work, a KLA Strategic Assessor/ Trainer attends the day before and delivers a 4-hour IC refresher session covering topics including, the latest trends in IC taken from EC data, methodology of EC Assessment, group exercises in specific elements including effective briefings, command structures and setting objectives/ priorities.

 Feedback just in;

“Really relevant input provided in recognition of infrequent availability to immerse in Incident Command. Pete is a really knowledgeable Incident Command teacher who has also great practitioner knowledge from his own FRS career.” AM Mike Clark GMFRS

 Katherine Lamb has not wasted any of her time since being back in the UK, squeezing in as many visits to clients as possible whilst also delivering the EC Standardisation and Assessor Training Days. Last week Katherine visited Leicester Fire whilst Staffordshire Fire received their annual EC session from Peter Critchell. Both sessions were well received with some engaging questions asked about how to get the most benefit from EC especially the different reporting types.

 This week Katherine will join KLA’s resident Strategic Assessors, Paul Amos and Peter Critchell, as KLA start the first 2-days of delivery on another SFJ Awards, Level 7 Award in Strategic Incident Command in Fire and Rescue Services. This course has 4 Strategic Level delegates, CFO Buckinghamshire FRS, CFO Norfolk FRS, CFO Hertfordshire FRS and ACFO Surrey FRS who will be exposed to an immersive workshop.

Strategic Coaching requests, for delegates preparing for the SFJ Awards Level 7 Award in Strategic Incident Command, have increased. We take the approach of tailoring bespoke coaching sessions for individuals based on their needs analysis.
