SFJ Level 4 Award - Intermediate Incident Command in Fire & Rescue Services (610/0185/S)

Course details -

  • Course delivered in 1 x 5-day block

  • 3 x KLA instructional staff

  • 6 x Delegates

  • Guided Learning Time – 40 x hours

  • Total Qualification Time - 55 x hours

Course content -

  • 6 x Written assignments

  • Technical input

  • Group based scenario training

  • Formative and Summative practical assessment

  • Student led debriefing – using the College of Policing debrief model

KLA will provide -

  • Pre-course reading lists/assignments/assessments

  • Support to the students whilst writing/researching assignments

  • Technical content

  • Scenarios created on local risks – opportunities to test SSRIs or tactical plans

  • Portfolios

  • SFJ registrations, IQA and EQA costs as per accredited centre requirements

Host service to provide -

  • All training venues

  • Support with exercise delivery as required

  • Practical assistance with all Summative assessments (day 4) – to include:

    • Technical support with scenarios to ensure they are aligned with your policies/procedure/topography

    • Access to command support facility – either a simulated functionality or the service command unit

    • Specialist role-players as required – to be discussed once scenarios are finalised (e.g. HazMat, NILO etc – often this capacity can be provided by other course delegates)

We come to you!

If you don’t have enough delegates to fill a class, there are two options:

1) You host the event and we invite delegates from neighbouring FRSs to make up the numbers.

2) We arrange for another FRS to host the event and you send your delegates there. In this example, we can arrange hotel accommodation for your delegates and include this on your invoice.
