Trevor Hearn

Serving with the Essex Fire Service as an operational firefighter for 34 years, Trevor worked on the Flexi Duty system at Tactical Level 2 and 3 and retired from the service in March 2022.  Since 2017 he has been a member of the KLA team working in an Assessing and Training capacity.

Earlier in his career Trevor joined the L&D Department delivering and assessing in Tactical Ventilation, RTC, Compartment Fire Behaviour before moving into Incident Command.  He was responsible for the implementation of N.O.G for Incident Command and became the SFJ Centre Manager responsible for delivering and assessing the SFJ ICL 1,4, and 6 Awards.

Trevor was responsible for and managed Operational Command Assessment and Training which involved the design and delivery of Incident Command scenarios up to and including Tactical and Strategic Managers from Essex and cross borders.

As JESIP lead for Essex he was responsible for the implementation of JESIP Training and delivery for Essex, and designed additional scenarios for JESIP training which were incorporated into training by the region.
