Revalidation at the Highest Level

Katherine Lamb is overseas in Canada currently, combining a work trip with some well-deserved holiday time with her family. More on the business success side of that trip in the coming articles.

Meanwhile a K Lamb Associates delivery team (KLA) have had a highly successful engagement with Greater Manchester Fire Service (GMFRS). A long-standing client, we were invited back for some more SFJ Effective Command Incident Command Level 4 (tactical) Assessments as part of GMFRS ongoing commitment to Incident Command Revalidations at Strategic Command Levels.

Once again, GMFRS Chief Fire Officer Dave Russel led by example and demonstrated by way of exhibiting solid command behaviours, what it is to be in command at the highest level faced with a challenging scenario built around a foreseeable risk in GMFRS area. With assistance from his own flexi duty officers playing key roles including HMEPO and a Command Support Officer, Dave navigated his way through the many issues thrown up by the scenario. The KLA delivery team once again provided excellent facilitation as well as role play to ensure an immersive experience.

GMFRS Deputy Chief Fire Officer Ben Norman followed on in the afternoon scenario. Again, a bespoke but foreseeable scenario based around GMFRS risks. A really engaging performance, the anecdotal feedback was positive from both candidates who proved, amongst other things, their ability to provide leadership in these types of scenarios.

If you are visiting the Emergency Services Show why not make a point of dropping by our stand, K Lamb Associates Ltd, will be happy to talk you through our values, and achievements in the Fire Sector so far. We could also explain more about the wide range of products we can deliver in your organisation.
