SFJ Awards - Effective Command - ICL1 Assessment (CCS)

This is applicable for individuals who hold the SFJ Level 3 Award in Initial Incident Command or are operating Level 1 Commanders. This Skills for Justice Awards certified revalidation has been written in full consideration of the National Operational Guidance document, the Incident Command Training Specification and the Training and revalidation guidance document.

Course details

  • 1 x Day

  • 3 x KLA Instructors, including a Strategic peer trainer

  • 4 x Delegates

KLA will provide -

  • All instructors to deliver the course

  • Sector competent and qualified assessors at the appropriate tier

  • All teaching and assessment materials

  • Scenarios appropriate to the role and tailored to your FRS demographics and risks

  • All unsuccessful candidates will be provided with detailed written feedback directly to the individuals FRS to facilitate a local development plan to be formulated and completed prior to reassessment

  • Development of all unsuccessful candidates will be the responsibility of the FRS

Course format

  • 4 x Delegates to attend separate time slots during the day

  • 4 x Distinct incident Command scenarios to be used each day

  • Each candidate will be assessed as Incident Commander against Effective Command ICL1 criteria

  • Each candidate will receive a full scenario debrief from their assessor

Location

  • Microsoft Teams or Face-to-face

Each Delegate will receive -

  • 2 CPD/Command hours per assessment

  • ICL1 Effective Command report

  • SFJ Awards certification of their successful assessment

Don’t Forget:

We come to you!

If you don’t have enough delegates to fill a class, there are two options:

1) You host the event and we invite delegates from neighbouring FRSs to make up the numbers.

2) We arrange for another FRS to host the event and you send your delegates there. In this example, we can arrange hotel accommodation for your delegates and include this on your invoice.
