Strategic Validation, what to do about revalidation..
Strategic Validation, what to do about revalidation.
At K Lamb Associates (KLA) we power ahead through August with another successful delivery of the Strategic Coordination Group (SCG) Practical Exercise element of the SFJ Awards, Level 7 Award in Strategic Incident Command. Having completed phase 1 of the award in June delegates from Hampshire & Isle of Wight Fire joined our Strategic Assessor at Staffordshire Fire HQ and the Director of the Civil Contingencies Unit (CCU). Once again, the CCU provided a challenging and complex environment at which delegates, acting as Chair and Fire (Gold), had to coordinate a response from multi-agency partners. Authentic and credible, including a former senior Police and Ambulance officer along with a former Local Authority Executive performed their roles based on the years of experience between them. How else can a delegate get the best experience possible if not liaising with the real thing. The SFJ Awards, Level 7 Award continues to prove very popular with 2 more courses booked before the end of the year.
However, did you know that there is a SFJ Awards, Level 7 Award in Revalidation of Strategic Incident Command. Here at KLA we have seen a marked increase lately in requests for this award. Fire Services continue to invest heavily in the Continuous Professional Development (CPD) for their Strategic Commanders, using bi-annual training plans incorporating both the SFJ-Effective Command (EC) - ICL4 (Tactical) Revalidation Assessment and the SFJ Awards, Level 7 Revalidation Assessment.
We have just received the first of the feedback from the successfully delivered course, in partnership with Emergency Response Driver Training, with the Malaysian Fire Academy.
“a very good learning, being able to evaluate the way in one's own country and in the country of the instructor staff, which way or better technique can be practiced when on duty, strengthen the technique in conducting simulation training”.
“Join this course. an interesting course full of information and practicals that are easy to understand and provided by the best trainer”.
Don’t forget KLA are exhibiting at this year's Emergency Services Show. Why not come along to our stand, say hello and find out more about the vast array of Incident Command products, Effective Command Behavioural Marking Tool and the varied number of SFJ Awards courses utilising both EC and XVR Simulation.
