Revalidation in the Northeast of the Nation
Revalidation in the Northeast of the Nation
Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue Service and County Durham and Darlington Fire and Rescue Service in the historic Northeast Region both played host to one of our K Lamb Associates delivery teams over the course of last week. Revalidation of Strategic Incident Command was the order of the week as Senior Leaders from both services faced challenging and complex scenarios in line with the National Operational Guidance (NOG) frequency timings.
At KLA we deliver a Skills for Justice Incident Command Level 4 (Tactical) Revalidation of Incident Command. Delegates are assessed using the Effective Command Behavioural Marking Tool, aligned to JESIP, NOG and the NFCC Leadership Framework which, for EC subscribers, provides important data to inform not only the service directly but also the national IC training trends.
Our team was supported excellently by each services Incident Command Team. Services provided the command support team, command support officer and functional officers. This coupled with our scenarios, all set within the services boundary and designed to replicate real risks, ensures that not only candidates but also their command teams get the maximum benefit and exposure contained in a safe environment.
In Devon & Somerset Fire & Rescue Service (D&SFRS) one of our trusted partners, Strategic Trainer/ Assessor Joe Hassell, delivered yet another excellent Group Decision Making Exercise. Part of a series of Command Hour Continuous Professional Development (CPD) sessions, D&SFRS are fully committed to the development of their tactical and strategic commanders.
