International Firefighter Day

In a week when we celebrate International Firefighters Day, K Lamb Associates welcomed Bermuda Fire Service delegates to the UK to attend our SFJ Awards, Level 7 Award in Strategic Incident Command. Hosted by Lancashire Fire, delegates from there and County Durham & Darlington Fire made up the course delegates. A diverse cohort that enriched the learning bringing unique perspectives to the group discussions.

Feedback received;

“After participating in many courses over the years it must be stated that K Lamb Associates has proven themselves to be a leader in the field. The subject matter combined with the expertise of the facilitators and the support received is second to none.” Mark Taylor Bermuda Fire Service (SFJ Level 7 Award Course.)

“From start to finish this qualification has been inclusive and tailored to the experience of those attending. It has provided me opportunities to self-reflect and identify gaps in my knowledge and understanding. Access to more sessions like these would be useful to maintain and build on the skills obtained.”

In Greater Manchester Fire KLA’s team delivered another excellent SFJ awards, Level 4 Award in Intermediate Incident Command to 6 delegates including those from Tyne & Wear Fire, and Warwickshire Fire. Each delegate being exposed to formative and summative assessments as well as taking part in other scenarios as Command Support when not being assessed. A fully immersive few days all with full support and guidance from our credible, experienced trainers.

Feedback received;

“I am grateful for the comprehensive training provided by KLA for the ICL2 course. Thanks to the knowledgeable and experienced trainers, I now feel fully confident in stepping into my new role as an ICL2 Tactical Commander.” SFJ Level 4 Award Course.

 “As I begin the 1st steps as a Level 2 Commander, I'm grateful for the in-depth knowledge shared by the course facilitators with us here in GMFRS. The scenarios gave us all an opportunity to work together as a command team at a wide range of incidents ranging from a Train derailment to a fire on a ship. Thanks again for your support and you are always welcome back to Manchester for a brew.”

This week we also welcomed a new client in Cheshire Fire who invited KLA to deliver a day of ICL3 Revalidation Assessments. They had 2 Officers requiring a revalidation, both were assessed using the widely acclaimed Effective Command Behavioural Marking Tool.
