Effective Command (EC) Standardisation and Assessor Training Days.
Effective Command (EC) Standardisation and Assessor Training Days.
Two more Fire Services receive their EC Standardisation and Assessor Training Days. Northamptonshire Fire and Royal Berkshire Fire welcomed KLA representative for a full day of Input. The days are included in the subscription and are an important part of the service from KLA. Covering varied topics, the day is broken down into 2 halves, first we cover topics such as recent Incident Command trends, EC methodology and a refresher on the many applications of the tool. Second part we look at identified national EC data pitched alongside the Local FRS data and finish with a short exercise using one of our EC scenarios where assessors get to score and give feedback on their observations.
In Leicestershire Fire a KLA delivery team facilitated a whole day of ICL3 Revalidation Assessments. Challenging scenarios representative of the risks of the service area, delegates were exposed to real people bringing realistic issues to be managed. Here is some feedback from one delegate.
“Really enjoyed the experience and feel an independent assessment at L3 is where we should be, going forward. Takes away bias and allows people to show what they can do. KLA were very professional and would highly recommend this input and assessment style. In particular the feedback presentation was new to us for ICS but worked really well and added value.” ICL3 Revalidation Assessment LFRS.
More feedback following a recent delivery of a SFJ Awards, Level 6 Award in Advanced Incident Command.
“Just to say that I enjoyed the course. The instructors were fantastic, supportive and respectful throughout. Feedback was well received and would just like to thank them for what they did. Great week of training, instruction and assessment on my Incident Command Course with Katherine Lamb Associates LTD. For me personally, I had never felt so Comfortable, confident and structured in my Incident Command following the week with you. Thank You.” SFJ Level 6 Course GMFRS.
