Command Hours
Command Hours, KLA release products aimed specifically at Strategic Commanders.
Following K Lamb Associates entering a partnership with Joe Hassell, together we are excited to release the latest range of Incident Command products designed specifically to assist Strategic Commanders in their continuous professional development (CPD) whilst counting towards their services annual command hours figure.
Our products aim to complement the extremely busy schedules of strategic commanders. We offer on-line, face to face, 4 hour and full day variations. We can deliver small group sessions, for up to 4 people as well as larger group sessions for up to 8 people. Using a variety of scenarios, the sessions encourage group discussions that lead to decision making in a high intensity environment. If you want to learn more about these products, please get in touch.
Elsewhere Devon & Somerset Fire welcomed one of our delivery teams as their delegates joined a SFJ Awards, Level 4 Award in Intermediate Incident Command in Fire and Rescue Services. For their ICL2 officers, it was an excellent opportunity to join in group discussions with peers and trainers. The use of the Effective Command Behavioural Marking Tool allowed KLA assessors to deliver constructive feedback on the formative and summative assessments.
“Trainers were excellent, loads of experience, no ego really approachable and the major key to a successful week.” Devon & Somerset FRS SFJ Level 4 Award Course.
At Lancashire Fire our team delivered a SFJ Awards, Level 6 Award in Advanced Incident Command in Fire and Rescue Services. The ICL3 Officers present were exposed to challenging complex scenarios in a safe environment adding to their learning environment.
In Cambridgeshire Fire our team facilitated another 2-day Command Support Officer Course. This invaluable and crucial operational role was explored through group discussions before practical exercises were carried out to hone the new skills learnt.
Bedfordshire Fire welcomed one of our trainers to deliver their annual Effective Command Standardisation and Assessor Training Day. Katherine Lamb is keen that services make the most of the day, included in the EC annual subscription, which is spent looking at national and local data trends collated through the EC tool and fascinating discussions on Incident Command assessment.
