K Lamb Associates have again been super busy working with trusted clients from several UK Fire Services on an array of KLA Incident Command (IC) products. The list includes; Incident Command Revalidation Assessments, SFJ Awards Courses, Strategic Refresher Decision Making Exercises and a Promotion Process.
It was a pleasure to be invited to facilitate the incident command element of Greater Manchester Fire Deputy Chief Fire Officer process. The intensive days saw candidates exposed to significant incident scenarios that provided robust challenge. Realism was injected with the use of an actual command unit along complete with a Team, CSO and key role players.
In Leicestershire Fire our team delivered a SFJ Awards Level 4 Award in Intermediate Incident Command. This time all 6 delegates derived from LFRS so all 12 bespoke scenarios used over the course really resonated with them. Using the Effective Command Behavioural Marking Framework, constructive and credible feedback was given to them helping future development.

Nottinghamshire fire and Oxfordshire fire both welcomed our teams to deliver more SFJ-EC-ICL3 and SFJ-EC-ICL4 revalidation assessment days. It’s always interesting to witness the different tactics employed by officers who all achieved a satisfactory outcome.
Joe Hassell, in partnership with KLA, delivered another Strategic Refresher and Decision-Making Exercise Day for Devon and Somerset Fire. A well-attended event, officers provided excellent challenge to the questions posed. An immersive learning event proving popular all over.
