Extremely valuable and essential to maintain CPD
Beautiful Bermuda Beckons...
K Lamb Associates Ltd continue to service the vitally important contract with the Bermuda Fire & Rescue Service. Once again, a KLA delivery team is headed overseas in an easterly direction to deliver their SFJ Awards-Effective Command (EC)-ICL2, ICL3 and ICL4 (Tactical) Revalidation Assessments over a 2-week period. We wish our team a safe journey, along with Katherine Lamb herself who is joining up with the team next week for more crucial meetings with Bermuda FRS’s Strategic Leadership Team.
As part of a recently awarded contract with West Midlands Fire we delivered another SFJ Awards Level 4 Award in Intermediate Incident Command courses. The feedback has been incredible;
“This is the first structured incident command training that I have carried out since joining the FDS command group. I have taken so much from the course and look forward to applying it operationally. I Thoroughly enjoyed the course; it was a mentally challenging week due to the number of scenarios that took place and carrying out the different roles. I look forward to further courses in the future.” Andrew Stevenson West Midlands FRS SFJ Level 4 (Intermediate) Course.
Our offering of Strategic and Tactical Level Group Refresher and Decision-making Exercises, in partnership with Joe Hassell Command, goes from strength to strength. Devon & Somerset Fire (D&SFRS) are the latest service to experience the Group Tactical (ICL3) Refresher and Tactical Decision-making Exercise. Bespoke to D&SFRS, the group session was so well received they have booked a further 5 sessions up until the end of March 2025. The feedback has been amazing;
SM Laurence Parsons, Incident Command Training Lead for D&SFRS said “Really good training session, great re-cap and learnt some new things for the toolbox”.
“Extremely valuable and essential to maintain CPD and command hours at ICLevel 3 incidents. Good scenario written for our service. Important to make time for your own development.”
Leicestershire Fire will soon receive their 2nd Strategic Group Refresher and Decision-Making Exercise session with Cambridgeshire Fire booking their first, taking place in March 2025.
The year has already kicked into overdrive as this week other KLA teams will be working, under our contracted arrangements, with Greater Manchester Fire, Merseyside Fire and West Midlands Fire.
